Statue de la Grèce archaïque représentant un jeune homme nu. La nudité du kouros et, malgré les apparences, le drapé de la korè illustrent un mode d'idéalisation proprement grec et qui rend visible l'alliance du fidèle à son dieu (J. CHARBONNEAUX, R. MARTIN, F. VILLARD, Grèce arch., Paris, Gallimard, 1968, p. 19).
